The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, facilitate, and promote all forms of humanitarian activities to prevent and alleviate human suffering. This role is part of the Global Humanitarian Services & Supply Chain Management (GHS SCM) department, based in our Dubai fleet business unit.

Job Purpose

The Operations Coordinator is a central member of the IFRC’s Global Fleet team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fleet management and warehouse services in Dubai. You will ensure the smooth and effective delivery of services, maintain client satisfaction, and uphold global logistics and quality standards. This position is essential for maintaining a high level of service delivery and improving operational efficiency for our internal clients and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day coordination of the Dubai-based Fleet and Warehouse units, ensuring effective allocation of staff and resources.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans with clear KPIs, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee the Vehicle Rental Programme (VRP): forecast demand, manage vehicle availability, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate all warehouse activities, including reception, storage, inventory, and dispatch of humanitarian goods.
  • Coordinate procurement processes and administrative functions in line with IFRC policies.
  • Facilitate regular planning meetings with fleet, warehouse, and support teams to align efforts and solve operational challenges.
  • Serve as the operational liaison with IFRC clients, National Societies, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRC policies and contribute to global reporting through KPIs and dashboards.

Required Education & Experience

  • A University degree in logistics, fleet management, supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
  • At least 2 years in a coordination or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in fleet and transport management, ideally in a humanitarian setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Languages

  • Strong project management, data analysis, and reporting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics, procurement, and fleet lifecycle management.
  • Excellent negotiation, diplomacy, and communication skills.
  • Fluently spoken and written English is required.
  • A valid international driving license is required.
  • Good command of French, Spanish, or Arabic is an asset.
